Good day Mrs. Kaczala,

I heard through the grapevine that St. Jerome's University was
going to hold a ceremony for the raising the "pride" flag this
first of July.

Since your institution calls itself a "university" and not a
"snowflake warehouse", I assume St. Jerome would be more than
happy to host, also on July 1st 2020, a debate on this topic:

	"Whether sodomy is against nature?"

I propose as first rule of this debate:

"The first one to invoke a religious belief, loses!"

Raising flags to "honor" sexual proclivities seems rather
odd for an institution that is supposed to concentrate on
transmitting Science, and teaching Critical Thinking skills.

A respectful and rational debate on the topic seems like
the perfect antidote. Moreover, the debate can be entirely
conducted via e-mails posted on the official website of
your institution, so all generations can be enlightened by
the wisdom of whoever ordered this ceremony.

Sincerely,

Stefan Jetchick

P.S. Could you please sent me a nice picture of the ceremony,
so I can add it to this web page? Thank you!

Good day "SJU List Administrator",

>> Your request to the [...] mailing list [...]

Why not?

How could a member post the kind of message I tried
to post? That would be a "career-limiting move"!
Pro-sodomy propaganda at the institutional level means
that anybody working for that institution is in danger
of being fired if they dare criticize the "sacred cow".

That is why it's an outsider (me) who has the academic
freedom to call for a debate on the topic. There are
many people inside SJU who agree with me, but who also
live in fear. Even your reaction is yet another clue that
SJU does not cherish respectful and rational debates, unless
those debates promise to respect the "sacred cows" of SJU...

Why not re-post my message yourself? You're a Member, no?
Why not behave like a Free Citizen? Why not react like a
Real University, and encourage debates? Is SJU's
decision to "honor" sodomy so intellectually fragile and
morally weak, that even a little debate is perceived
as a mortal threat?

Cheers!

Stefan Jetchick

Good day Mr. President and Vice-Chancellor Feridun Hamdullahpur,
Good day all,

Does the University of Waterloo have any pride?

Is there a reputation of academic excellence, critical
thinking, and openess to debate, that Waterloo can be
proud of?

I say this because the Internet never forgets, and right
now the University of Waterloo (through St. Jerome's)
seems to be on the verge of indulging in the most
anti-university behavior imaginable: propaganda.

St. Jerome's University is planning on "raising the pride
flag" in a couple of days, while simultaneously shutting
down the possibility of a rational and respectful debate
about what this public ceremony is all about.

Please see here for Waterloo University's reputational risk:
