Good day Mr. Doug Sharpe,

I received today your letter asking me to sign the
petition against Trudeau's silly and dangerous "Oath
of Neo-Paganism" that organizations are required to make
in order to receive taxpayer's money.

First, I want to congratulate you and encourage you in
fighting the good fight. I totally agree with defending
pre-born children, defending real marriage, defending
the rights of Christians, etc.

So I'm not at all opposed to your objective. I just
have reservations about some of the things you are doing
to try to reach that objective.

Your petition states (among others):

"By its nature, this requirement discriminates against
	organizations based on their beliefs."

To make things worse, your "About" page has a long list
of "We Believe" (see screenshot here above).

Honestly, I don't know what I have to do to pound some
sense into people like you. I'm seriously thinking about
going to the Canada Revenu Agency, and asking for
a Charitable Organization status for a new religion:

The Disciples of the Holy Machine Gun

FN MAG / M240G

If the Government must respect all religions, if the
Government must allow all beliefs, why not allow the
"Disciples of the Holy Machine Gun"?

You are not the only well-meaning organization mired
in "fideism". A letter I recently sent to another group
like yours applies almost word-for-word to you,
especially:

You seem to insist a lot on a "right to faith and
conscience". That seems very dangerous to
me. Actually, if poorly executed, such a defence
can end up doing more harm than good. I tried to
	give a quick explanation here:

	6) "The rights of our conscience/religion!"

What ever happened to reason? What ever happened to all
the reasons to be against abortion, sodomy, etc.?

Why do people like you always start by giving up the high
ground of reason and science? Why do you always surrender
to irrationality and beliefs? We have reason on our side,
for crying in a pail! Killing babies is plainly wrong, we
can prove it, it doesn't have to be a "belief"! Same thing
with sodomy, etc.!

Please stop promoting the scandalous lie that "Christians
are unable to defend the Natural Law using reason alone."

Thank you,

Stefan Jetchick
